Prior to joining SAU, Ridhima Gupta was an Assistant Professor in the department of Economic Sciences at IISER Bhopal. Her specialization is Environmental Economics and Agricultural Economics. Her current work involves analysing emissions from traffic congestion in Indian cities and exploring linkages between electrification and modern fuel use and estimating the effect of global warming on worker absenteeism in India. Dr. Gupta’s past research has been published in Climatic Change, Climate Change Economics and is covered in popular media such as The Huffington Post. She received a PhD. in Economics from Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi in 2015.
