Research Interest:


Protein Engineering has enormous potential to provide new diagnostic and therapeutic proteins for medical applications in the form of antibody, peptide vaccine, enzymes and peptide hormones. We apply cutting edge techniques for the engineering of –

  • Antibody fragments & humanized antibody against DENV envelope protein
  • Peptide vaccine candidates for higher immunogenicity
  • Lactonases (PONs & SMP30) for organophosphate degradation
  • Chitinases for enhanced antifungal/anti-cancer properties
